State Bank of Pakistan SBP will issue new notes from August 18:
State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) will issue new currency notes from August 18 for meeting the request and demand of the general public on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr. (in the news). Central Bank spokesperson, Syed Wasimuddin said that SBP will issue new currency notes amounting to Rs100 billion, which will be available at the 9,000 branches of all the commercial banks across the country. Last year, the State Bank of Pakistan had issued new notes worth Rs 95 billion. Moreover, he said that the Central Bank will issue new notes of Rs10, 20, 50, 100, 500, and 1,000 values, denominations, which the people producing national identity card of Nadra could get it. He further said that the State Bank of Pakistan has also established a complaint cell for addressing any kind of people’s complaint relating to the new notes.
